Here's a day at a physio and sports therapy clinic with two sites, in Varisett Bookings. (The clinic and its people are made up; the screens are the real product.)
The diary knows the rules
Monday at the city-centre site: four people on the rota, three treatment rooms and a shockwave machine. Every appointment needs the right person and the right room. When reception books an acupuncture session, only the practitioners with the acupuncture skill are offered, at times they're rostered, not on leave, not already booked, and when a treatment room is free. Shockwave therapy only goes in a slot where the machine is free.

Before they arrive
When the initial assessment was booked, a deposit invoice went with it; the patient paid from the link. The day before, a reminder went from the clinic's own email address, with the clinic's wording.
At the desk
The patient arrives: Checked in. After the session, Check out and invoice: the invoice is made with the deposit taken off, and the rest is taken on the card machine and recorded. A patient who doesn't come is marked as a no-show, and it shows on their record.

The staff side
Practitioners clock in on their phones with a Staff ID and PIN, see their shifts, and ask for leave. One works at the second site on Thursdays; the rota says so, so that's the only place they can be booked that day.
The month
At the month end, the manager opens Reports: what was billed and taken, by service, by person, by payment method and by site; no-shows; and each person's rostered, worked and booked hours.
