Varisett FSM · Construction contractors

Construction software that only sends certified operatives to site

Prove every operative's tickets are valid before they're on site, and dispatch only the ones who are. Crews, vehicle checks and timesheets sit in the same system.

The problem

A lapsed card shouldn't be found at the site gate

Site access cards, plant tickets and safety training all expire on their own dates. Tracked in a spreadsheet, it only takes one missed renewal for an operative to be turned away at the gate, or worse, to get on site when they shouldn't.

Meanwhile the gangs still need sending out, the vans need checking and the hours need getting to payroll. Varisett FSM keeps the people, their tickets, the work and the time in one system, and refuses to send anyone whose ticket has lapsed.

Varisett FSM

Built around how a contractor actually works

No valid ticket, no site

Add the cards and tickets your sites require as certification types, set how long each lasts, and require them on the job types that need them. An operative without a current one can't be assigned. The database refuses it.

See expiries before the site does

The compliance view lists every certification that has lapsed and every one running out in the next 30 days, so renewals get booked in time.

Crews and gangs

Set up a van with a driver and crew members. The crew's jobs go to the driver's phone, and the job page shows who's on the crew.

Operatives sign in with an ID and PIN

No email needed. Operatives clock in, complete a daily vehicle walkaround (defects are flagged to the office) and see their jobs in order.

Timesheets for payroll

Hours per operative per day, with overtime, ready to download as a spreadsheet for payroll.

Fleet dates in check

Each vehicle's roadworthiness test, insurance and tax dates are highlighted 30 days before they expire and flagged red once they've passed.

How it works

From booking to payroll

  1. OfficeSet the rulesAdd the tickets each type of work needs, and each operative's cards with their expiry dates.
  2. DispatchSend certified crewsBook the work. Only operatives with every required ticket current can be assigned.
  3. OperativeCheck the van, do the jobClock in, complete the vehicle check, then log time, photos and notes on the job.
  4. OfficeClose out and payInvoice the job and download the week's timesheets for payroll.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can we add our own card and ticket types?

Yes. Directors add any certification type, set how long it's valid for, and require it on any job type. The rule is the same for all of them: no current certification, no assignment.

Does a crew need a phone each?

No. A crew's jobs go to the driver's phone. Other crew members can still sign in with their own ID and PIN, and their screen tells them the jobs are on the driver's phone.

Can we get hours out for payroll?

Yes. The timesheets report shows hours per operative per day with overtime, and downloads as a spreadsheet file for your payroll.

How quickly can we start?

Order online and your system is set up automatically on your own address, usually within minutes. You then add your engineers, their certificates, your job types and your customers, and you can book the first job the same day.
